En Pleine Vue
This series reimagines a single urban object, windows, as abstract visual elements. By isolating, repeating, and layering them, I shift focus from their everyday function to their formal qualities: shape, rhythm, and pattern. Removed from architectural context, these windows lose their identity and invite open interpretation. Thus, what we often overlook in life becomes a subject of exploration.
This project began with photographing two ordinary urban elements: windows & manhole covers. From there, I created 100+ explorations; exploring freely with layout, repetition, and abstraction without a set destination.
Rather than following a linear path, the process was about casting a wide net, generating possibilities, and allowing patterns & direction to emerge organically.
